HYPERTENSION

❤️ What is High Blood Pressure?

🌿 High blood pressure (Hypertension) happens when the pressure of blood pushing against your blood vessels is too high.

Our heart pumps blood to the whole body.

If the pressure is too strong for a long time, it can damage the blood vessels and organs.

👉 Simple meaning:

Blood pushing too hard inside your body = High blood pressure

What do the numbers mean?

Blood pressure is written like this:

120 / 80 mmHg

  • Top number (systolic) → pressure when heart pumps
  • Bottom number (diastolic) → pressure when heart rests

General guide:

Normal: below 120/80
Borderline: 120139 / 8089
High: 140/90 or higher

⚠️ Why is High Blood Pressure dangerous?

High blood pressure is called the “silent killer” because many people feel normal but damage is happening inside.

If not controlled, it can cause:

Heart attack
Stroke
Kidney failure
Blindness
Heart enlargement
Early death

👉 You may feel fine today but complications develop slowly over years.

🔎 Common Symptoms

Most people have NO symptoms.

Sometimes may have:

  • Headache
  • Dizziness
